First Compact Pipe laid in the Philippines

Successful joint seminar

Phase 1 of the Compact Pipe project involves 4 kilometer stretch of sewer rehabilitation with sizes DN 150 up to DN 300 mm. For this project, Wavin partners with Pfeiffer as the pipe-laying contractor for the Compact Pipe. To celebrate this first project, Wavin organised a joint seminar with Pfeiffer (contractor) and Moldex Pipes (distributor) on trenchless pipeline rehabilitation. In total 67 participants attended; all decision-makers and engineers from the water districts, water concessionaires, local government units, department of public works and highways from all over the Philippines. 

The seminar was organised to inform the participants about the advantages of trenchless rehabilitation and more specific about the Wavin Compact Pipe. After the presentations, all attendees went to the construction site to watch the installation of Compact Pipe and see the ease of trenchless rehabilitation themselves. 

With the seminar interest in Tegra manholes was also stimulated and the new Wavin Tegra 1000 NG was displayed and demonstrated.
