| Zwolle, 2 March 2011 - Wavin, Europe's leading supplier of plastic pipe systems and solutions, today announces that Paul van den Hoek will, as scheduled, stand down as chairman of Wavin's Supervisory Board at the annual general meeting of Wavin shareholders on 27 April. Ending his third term of four years, Paul van den Hoek will no longer be available for reappointment. As chairman he played a pivotal role in the development of our company. Under his supervision, Wavin doubled in size and was transformed into the stock listed European market leader it is today." The Supervisory Board has appointed René Kottman, member since 2006 and reappointed for a four year term in 2010, as the new chairman per 27 April 2011. In his previous position, René Kottman was CEO of Ballast Nedam N.V. He currently, amongst others, chairs the supervisory board of Delta Lloyd N.V. The Wavin Supervisory Board also announces that it has nominated Aad Kuiper for appointment as one of its members. Aad Kuiper is President and CEO of Hunter Douglas' Operations in Europe, The Middle East and Africa and a Vice President of Hunter Douglas N.V. From 1987 to 1997 he held several international management positions within Akzo Nobel N.V. Aad Kuiper brings extensive experience in international marketing, sales and operations to the Wavin Supervisory Board. The nomination for his appointment will be on the agenda of the annual general meeting in April.
